I have been sorting a collection of song demos for a family archive. A few tracks were generated, but nobody recorded which exports were kept. I would like the source recording to remain recognizable after the folders are tidied. A processed copy would have its own folder and a brief description of the change. How do you name these copies so that the history stays understandable? I have seen the terminology ai audio artifact removal in this context. I would avoid using that label as a promise that every flaw has disappeared. A note identifying the passage and the settings would be more useful. The archive will include a short explanation of where each demo came from, who supplied it, and whether the copy was exported again or changed after the original file was received. Does anyone have a straightforward archive convention that remains clear over time?
